Robert Fierer, MD, Pain Management and Addiction Recovery

Robert Fierer

Dr. Robert Fierer, MD is board certified in Internal Medicine with a reputation for compassionate care and a tremendous rate of positive outcomes. After founding and practicing with an exceptionally successful group in Pennsylvania for nearly 40 years, Dr. Frier now specializes in providing medical care that includes medication assisted detox and innovative approaches to addiction medicine. He is one of a few physicians in the United States trained in the recently FDA approved Probuphine implant for maintenance and treatment of opioid addiction.

Dr. Frier also specializes in pain management for patients with back, neck, knee, hip or shoulder pain and is versed in the performance of facet block injections and nerve blocks for pain. Specifically, he uses a natural based, injectable analgesic for the management of muscular and neuropathic pain called Sarapin, a medication that has been successfully used by physicians without side effects for over 70 years.

At Mountain Medical Injury and Pain Professionals, Dr. Fierer is helping to address the epidemic of opiate substance abuse while simultaneously providing expert techniques in pain management. He looks forward to collaborating with Colorado family medicine, general practitioners, surgeons, and pain management specialists at many levels in the care of patients.

When not practicing, Dr. Frier enjoys hiking, biking, skiing and exploring the backcountry.
